Donna and I have no special qualifications... we have been called to minister to others. As matter of fact, God placed marriage ministry on our hearts in November of 2013 at a FamilyLife Weekend to Remember. We know what it means to struggle in marriage and after 25 years, we don't have it all figured out, but we have a strong, Christ centered marriage and want to help others. In addition to running events, retreats, and Bible studies focused on building stronger marriages, we work with couples in small group intensive settings, and counsel couples, as well. We studied and conducted our supervised counseling under Tim Russo (Relational Impact Group) from late 2014 through October 2017, when we each earned our Biblical Counselor Certification through the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC). Bottom line, we have seen amazing things happen with couples that surrender their hearts and wills to Christ... they begin connecting as a couple and see more than a restoration... they can see a totally new marriage.
Trish and I are parents of four children, navigating the waters of family relationships and discipleship just like everyone else. We are both children of divorced and blended families and through our personal upbringing, as well as our time teaching and training in marriage ministry, and student and adult Bible studies, we have felt the clear call of the Lord on our lives to a whole family model of ministry. It is our desire to partner with and invest in families - moms and dads, stepmoms and stepdads, husbands and wives, grandparents, and children to encourage and empower one another in our homes, marriages, parenting, discipleship, and leadership and to live out God’s intended design for our families. We are learning and growing together with the families we seek to serve and we believe that through a strong alliance between the church and the family we can build a generational legacy of love, faith, and community.
